Make the record better

Corrections policy

We correct factual errors visibly, explain meaningful changes and preserve the distinction between updated evidence and a changed editorial opinion.

Correction principles

How to report an error

Prepare the exact page, statement, market and a reliable source. The contact page states whether a public intake channel is currently available.

What we change

Facts are corrected promptly; conclusions are re-evaluated when the new fact changes the decision.

What we do not remove

Accurate disclosures, drawbacks and safety context are not removed because a company dislikes them.

Update record

Substantial corrections include a date and short explanation on the affected page.

Provisional scoring framework

No total score can cancel a safety concern.

Correction decision path

Classify the change before rewriting the page

  1. A factual error is checked against the strongest dated source and corrected if confirmed.
  2. A changed product, instruction or recall is treated as new evidence, not proof the earlier record was fabricated.
  3. A disputed judgement is re-evaluated against the published criteria and may remain unchanged with an explanation.
  4. A safety concern is escalated for source checking before scores, labels or recommendations are reconsidered.

Prepare a reproducible report

Record the URL, exact wording, US market context, access date and primary source that conflicts with the page. Explain the smallest factual change that would resolve it. Meaningful accepted corrections receive a date and note; quiet copy edits need not imply a changed conclusion. The current contact page also discloses that no public submission form or inbox is yet connected, so it must be checked for channel availability before sending.
